I don't want to be a Content Creator(TM). But I do create things. More and more, I want to share them with others who are like-minded.
Today was to be the day of my first Instagram post. MHI's (marjoriehasideas) launch into the world. I got my profile set up and set about to doing a few followings to get a sense of things. Coach Bennett was my first follow. I became a runner with his and Andy Puddicombe's voices in my ears. Next were a few web designers and AI gurus.
And then. I realized. Oh, no! My website looked like every other Claude-code generated site.
Full transparency, all of my apps are vibe-coded, but each one has a unique look and feel and is mine. My running app color theme matches the colors I like to wear when I run, the logo is an icon of me running. My weather app has a logo I designed and colors that make me think of weather. But the one that should be the most uniquely mine, such that I even gave it my name, wasn't.
So back into VS Code I went, with a palette of Deep Winter colors to choose from. I am a deep winter and it's reflected in what I wear. I had my pencil sketch, which should be uniquely me, but it was placed and bordered in a way that screamed "AI made this", instead of quietly saying "this is Marjorie". Over a couple of hours chatting with ChatGPT, we made the site 25% less Claude and 25% more Marjorie.
A little later than planned. Much more me than this morning. I just made my first Instagram post.
